Welcome to New Leaf Healing: Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Reiki and Natural Living. Heather Morrison-Tapley, MA, L.Ac. is a nationally licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist who was trained in both the US & China. She is also a certified Reiki practitioner and has studied various forms of energy healing for over 20 years. Heather has been in practice for 20 years and treats a wide variety of health issues including: pain, arthritis, injuries, digestive problems, headaches, fibromyalgia, stress, insomnia and depression. Heather has also specialized in fertility acupuncture for over 9 years, continually furthering her education in this field through coursework and study. She currently works in conjunction with several of the areas top fertility doctors, often giving treatments in the fertility clinic the day of procedures. Heather has also trained with Memorial Sloan Kettering Continuing Education to offer acupuncture and herbs to help those receiving treatment for cancer.

Heather received a BA from Connecticut College in 1991, an MA from the University of Chicago in social science in 1995, and an MA in Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in 2000. She also completed an internship at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing China in 2000. She has been a guest lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis, MO where she has taught a class on East-West medicine for pre-med and anthropology students.

Heather believes that in a safe and professional setting the body is able to relax and do it’s best healing. She offers treatments in the beautiful, spa like setting at 57 Portland Rd Kennebunk, Maine and consults via phone and Skype.
