Heather’s Bio

I am a nationally certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist with a strong belief that the body is a great healer of itself. I have been using Chinese Medicine for over a decade to enable each person’s body to work and feel it’s personal
best. I graduated from Connecticut College with a BA in Anthropology and completed a Master’s Degree in Anthropology at the University of Chicago while working at Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History. During that
time I traveled to China two times and developed a deep interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

I returned to school, completing a 36-month full-time program in TCM at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. At the end of my schooling I returned to China where I completed an internship at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing, one of China’s most modern hospitals. I believe strongly in the connection between mind, body and healing. I take the time to create a personal connection with each client, and believe that in a safe and nurturing environment, our bodies do their best healing.

I see patients at the Meridian Wellness Center, 66 Glenbrook Road, just off Route 1, in Stamford, Connecticut.
